I want that.
On Monday night I went to see Jack's Mannequin at the House of Blues in Boston. Two people opened for him, one being Matt Nathanson, the other Erin McCarley. I'm not going to lie, Erin McCarley blew me away. She is a singer/songwriter/guitar player and she is pretty much everything I would want to be if I was a performer. Her songs are beautiful and honest and her live performances are simply outstanding.
Her lyrics affected me immediately, and she has plenty of happy uptempo songs for sunny Spring/Summer days, which is exactly the kind of music I'm looking for right now. I need this CD ASAP.
So please, check her out. She'll be touring with Paolo Nutini next (who is also playing at the House of Blues in July). You can listen to her songs on her MySpace, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend "Pitter-Pat." Leave comments and let me know what you think, and expect another music post soon.
